Leading Swiss telecoms provider launching online campaign supported by Spoiled Milk to focus on Bluewin TV boxes.

Swisscom project

CHALLENGE

Swisscom, the leading telecoms provider of Switzerland with 5,5 million mobile customers, 1,8 million broadband connections and 19,970 employees, launched an online campaign to emphasise the evolutionary functionalities of the Bluewin TV box.

Both message and delivery were required to be comprehensible for a broader audience and thus seek to include the less hi-fi-minded.

SOLUTION

The main idea of the campaign was to transcend a simulated experience of being seated in a sofa surrounded by a couple of friends with the many options of the Bluewin TV box at your disposal.

Technically, the solution was approached using POV Video integrated in the open-source, real-time 3D engine Papervision for ActionScript.

Conceptual, design and film-related phases were completed by the Zurich-based agency atfront. Spoiled Milk was responsible for the ActionScript development – or in other words: Ensuring the website user a smooth and memorable experience.

Zimmermann & de Perrot

The mix of music, dance and visuals characterises the body of art produced by Zimmermann & de Perrot. This innovative, hands-on partnership has invented its own particular language, in which strong images come across as a synthesis between sound and movement. Absurd, poetic and in awe to humanity, this duo has a mission.

Our job was to team up with the talented designer Bastien Aubry of Flag to assist Zimmermann & de Perrot in spreading public awareness of their unique art form.

We provided consultancy on how to structure Zimmermann & de Perrot’s huge amounts of content and subsequently built the site using our in-house developed Casein CMS.

Website re-launch

Internal projects are always interesting for us to carry out. They give our team creative freedom, open up for the ability to express the personalities inherent in our group and the opportunity of truly innovating new expression forms. The only restrictions set to the projects come out of the plural feedback discussions in our internal project management system. Here, team members weigh their opinions and reasons carefully and collectively arrive on the best possible ground. However, no real restrictions – e.g. as those set from a demanding client – can also be a slight minus in terms of living up to set milestones and delivering on time. Internal projects easily become undercurrents moving slowly beyond all the “real” client projects.

Thus, our joy of finally being able to release this highly anticipated website update is tremendous!

What you should notice when browsing the site:

  • Striking new header graphics on each page (aesthetically arranged by previous creative intern Isabel Seiffert – see hirnkraut.com).
  • Rearrangement and rewording of our services page to fit with what we now are capable of.
  • Four new noteworthy cases exchanged with four oldies on the showcase page.
  • … and general tigthening of words and visuals here and there.

Your feedback is indeed welcome in the comment fields below!

Burger Collection

Keep it simple. Make it compatible with large amounts of content. Clearly display the words and the visuals connected to the exhibitions. The client requests were comprehensible, but still brought on a few challenges in our phases of information architecture and design of structure.

In the words of the people behind the exhibition gallery Burger Collection: “Scenes of conflict and antagonism, scenes of disagreement and discord are motifs for the opening exhibition of the Burger Collection. With this premise, Conflicting Tales engages with subjectivity, not an interior view, but an engagement with the field of tension that opens between the individual and society.

The evolution of Spoiled MIlk has throughout the last 4 years gone through many different phases. We were an art collective, we became an ideas agency, we grew techy and all the different steps have helped shape off the itchy edges and provided us with a well-balanced foundation. Now, with the challenges of current and future projects, we were in need of new talents.

Christof and Halya - new team members

Halya Borysyuk made a wonderful path into our Copenhagen office. Before even getting in touch, she did her homework and realised what we needed: To increase focus on the user’s perspective! Born and raised in Ukraine, Halya is studying Cultural Studies at the University of Copenhagen and will be working full time with Spoiled Milk during the autumn months. Her primary task will be to conduct both qualitative and quantitative interviews, analyse data and utilise her findings in dialogue with our clients.

Christof Dorner is joining Spoiled Milk as a full-time employee from today! This young Swiss developer was looking for a place to progress his learning-curve and grow. He also put weight on an environment allowing him to pick up on new technologies and – if possible – to apply these to client projects. And maybe most significantly, Christof was searching for a place, where people would “have fun at work”. The entire Spoiled Milk team is excited to embrace next phases of our evolution with Christof on our side.
